This is far outside my normal range of interests, but I saw it a few days ago and it’s the pettiest, most pathetic shit I’m likely to see this week, so:

A school district on Long Island has been beefing with the state of New York about its sports mascot and team name, the Chiefs, and the school district was losing the legal fight and being threatened with cuts to state funding. Then Linda McMahon – the former wrestling corpo turned wannabe Republican back-bencher who is now, somehow, this benighted country’s Secretary of Education – did a photo op at the school and threatened the state of New York with cuts to its school funding – yes, the whole state – if this school district for a town of about 20,000 wasn’t allowed to keep calling its sports teams the Chiefs.

…because clearly the federal government of the United States has nothing better to do.

Also, because I’m more than a few months old, I can remember when the Assclown ordered the Department of Education abolished, so I’m confused as to why the Assclown Administration is pretending that Linda McMahon still has the power to threaten a state’s school systems…
