The medbed thing

For those of you who are, like I was until this weekend, blissfully unaware of the “medbed” conspiracy theory: remember the sarcophagus from Stargate? Some fools think it exists in real life, and either they’ve forgotten about the psychological side effects that kept Stargate Command from using it routinely or they don’t see megalomaniacal stupid-evil as a downside.

It appeared briefly this weekend as if Donald Trump, King Assclown the First, was such a fool, because he reposted a video to his Truth Social account – you know, the same account he uses for actual executive orders – announcing the formation of “medbed hospitals” that would soon be available to everyone:

Trump tonight appears to have pushed the false "medbed" conspiracy theory, which has spread in the far-right internet over the years. http://www.yahoo.com/news/qanon-c…

…and then he, or some staffer hired to neaten up his constant verbal diarrhea, deleted it a few hours later.

Speculation ran rife. Did he actually believe this shit? Did he not remember whether or not he’d actually said the quote in the AI-generated video? Has he lost his mind to senility? (Did he have a mind to lose? The “covfefe” thing was eight years ago…)

Or does he just repost everything about that he thinks might be flattering at first glance, without giving it a second’s thought, like the time he reposted a claim that Biden had died in 2020 and been replaced with cloned or robotic body doubles, apparently because he liked the embedded picture?

I’m leaning toward the last explanation myself but not ruling senility out.
