Fittingly, an ass brought up the rear

Frequent readers might have gotten the idea over the years that I scorn the institution of voting, that I don’t think much of “my” city council when I can be bothered paying attention to it at all, and (though it hasn’t come up much lately) I’m no fonder of progressive technocracy than of any other flavor of tyranny. So it might come as a surprise that I got a little smile out of this article:

The smile didn’t come from any of the winners or their blather; it came from Richard Ward, who I’ve written about before, though I didn’t name him at the time. He’s the white-nationalist fuckhead on the left:

He ran for city council, on an incoherent platform that his advertising described as “Vote Ward Not Woke”… and he got whomped. Ninth place out of nine candidates, and the eight-place finisher beat him by a ratio of almost five to two.

Good.

And I also like that seemingly every time I see his picture in the news, he’s slightly changed his facial hair, like he’s constantly trying to avoid being recognized on the street by decent people….
