Let me see if I have this right. The Assclown administration…
- whittled the Voice of America (long intended to be the fedgov’s counter to other governments’ propaganda and censorship) down to a vestigial stub
- recently defunded the Tor Project, which (among other good things) made it easier for people to evade governments’ propaganda and censorship
…and now wants to create a website that claims to counter other governments’ propaganda and censorship? A website that claims to run users through a VPN on its end but which could be easily blocked by the user’s ISP or anywhere along the backbone? And it also claims not to track users but, before any content is available, has a login form?
I checked, by the way. it demands a verifiable email.
And it’s run by Sarah Rogers. Gee, I wonder which views her propaganda site is going to “enable people in Europe and elsewhere to see,” and which kind of Trump cronies that email list is likely to be shared with.
And it’s being called… wait for it… freedom.gov. Either that name is meant to be ironic, or more likely, no one involved has any coherent idea what the word “freedom” means.
