…well, that happened.

It was interesting to watch the Democratic party faithful and their ttought processes in re: Graham Platner’s string of “scandals”:

• Platner has a history of saying stupid and offensive shit? (shrug) “Par for the course, really.”
• He’s a jackboot enthusiast? “Um… we can work with that.”
• Credibly accused of rape? “We’ve defended that before, but only for incumbents and insiders, not for newbie cannon fodder. Maybe we should think about this…”
• “…wait, he’s an offensive loudmouth, a jackboot enthusiast, and a rapist? EJECT EJECT EJECT!”

Maybe they should have vetted him a bit better before fixing the primary for him.

So Platner was out, with not much time to get a replacement’s name on the ballot. Thirteen other Dems went after the vacancy… very briefly. The first one dropped out within a day, IIRC, and they had a new anointed primary winner shortly afterward, Troy Jackson.

While all this was happening, the journos kept writing about the “Platner movement” and its “momentum” as if it was ever real…

 

…and we’re already hearing bout Jackson’s history of manbaby tantrums and tax evasion. Maybe they should have vetted him…
